We can accept it, we just can`t believe it.

*Confession time*

I have to admit that I did quite enjoy it when I saw it in the cinema (it was me young lady`s turn to choose). Had a couple of laughs, and the tunes - apart from one I swear I`ve never heard before - are quite jolly and inoffensive, though Brosnan`s singing is the complete opposite.

When it was my turn to choose I took her to see Hellboy 2. She fell asleep.

Ah well :-)

Agreed. At least there`s no danger of a sequel as they`ve already exhausted the catalogue of well known tunes!

Don`t bet on it. A sequel could focus on the slow painful breakup and use tracks like The Visitors and The Winner Takes It All - I`m assuming that these classic tracks were too depressing to have been included in the current film...

You do realise Ben that Abba have a massive back catalogue to choose from?

Can`t you all just accept that something not very good can be extremely popular?
I can accept it, but I just don`t like it! The general public don`t seem to be very discriminating - how else can you explain POTC and `reality` TV shows? I haven`t seen Mamma Mia! so I can`t comment on the quality of the film, but have no doubt that I`ll see it sometime over Christmas.

I like the First PotC film. The other two were s***.

I agree with that.

Whilst I agree with you re. `reality` shows, I could also levy the same arguement at the Harry Potter series (which I don`t like) or just about anything that`s currently popular.

The Winner Takes It All was in it. And of course I know they have a large back catalogue, but Mamma Mia plays like a `best of`. They even throw Waterloo in for good measure, during the credits.

Ah well, at least you can tell I haven`t watched it yet, but actually I wouldn`t mind... :p

Have I ever mentioned I went to see the stage show?
Me and a mate got dragged to it by our wives.
We really were about the only blokes in the place.
Heterosexual ones, anyway. ;)
As we were walking down the row to our seats, we were getting manhandled (womanhandled?) by drunk women, screaming "WOOOHOOO MEEEEEEEEN!"

So it wasn`t all bad.
