RE: For Sale: Another moderator selling off his DVDs !

Just ordered Little Shop of Horrors,

Sent Money through PayPal,

Thanks,
Andrew

RE: bargains from Amazon.ca

I ordered the Season 1 boxset yesterday and used the postage costing $11.48, with delivery in 7-14 Days, as the cheaper one says it can take up to 6-8 Weeks. The total order was CAD$ 41.37, didn`t use the voucher as i ordered before it was posted.

I haven`t had experience with CAD Dollar before so used a currency convertor on MSN UK and CAD $41.37 comes to about £17.78.

RE: VCD Playback and Macrovision Disable on Philips MX1060D

I had my MX1060 back from Comet and it was still the same, they have had it back in to look at and should have it back soon. The Store I purchased my Unit from only sold the LX3000D when I went in last went in, but the MX3800 looks, in my opinion better than the lx3000, features wise, especially as it can play SACD.

RE: My free Fox DVD just dropped through the letter box this morning.

I only registered once and my dvd, Dr Dollittle came today too.

RE: VCD Playback and Macrovision Disable on Philips MX1060D

Hello Nenad,

I had the exact same problem with my unit and the sound often gets louder when watching some discs, ie, Silence of the Lambs and Americas Sweetheart. Apparently this is a common fault with the Unit and it is caused by an Audio Modulator Chip (Apparently). My Unit is in for Repairs at the moment, I was going to post something after it had been repaired. Hopefully it will be done fine cause they will only swap it for something of the same value and I got mine on Sale from Comet, Probably like everyone else.

Hope this helps, best get on the phone,

Andy

RE: VCD Playback and Macrovision Disable on Philips MX1060D

DZL,

Thanks for the Hack by the way. Works perfectly.

The DVD Player is the same as the Matsui 112 which is where the original vcd hack I posted was adopted from. The Macrovision hack I posted seems to be wrong (Obviously) as in many of these forums and on other sites no one seems to get it to work.

Dont know who make the stuff for Matsui though,

Andy,

RE: Problems with 5.1 standard on Philips MX 1060D

My centre speaker is fine as a get some sound on it when playing the audio and is also completly fine when using it with other dvds etc.

What number did you use to contact Philips because I have not had an e-mail back yet.

Thanks
Andy,

RE: Problems with 5.1 standard on Philips MX 1060D

I have a Philips MX1060D system and experience the same problem with discs which have a 5.0 soundtrack (Friends). I can hear the credits and laughter but no talkie.

I e-mailed Philips about the problem a few days ago and will post the reply.

RE: Philips mx-1050D region hack

Jason,

If you look at the post entitled VCD Playback .... you will see the VCD hack and also a Region Hack method that DZL has posted incase the Mute does not work in the normal hack.

Press System Menu
Enter 1 6 7
then select region or press mute for all regions, if it works

RE: VCD Playback and Macrovision Disable on Philips MX1060D

I got your post Yesterday and I too had to press Exit twice to get out of the menu.

I checked to see if the Macrovision had been disabled but used a different disc and the Macrovision kicked in when I pressed Record.

Been messing around but have had no luck so it looks like a it back to using a Macromaster cable.

Sorry,

Also, DZL how are you getting your player muti region because I have to keep altering regions as the Mute button will not work using the Hack on this Page.

RE: Request help from all dvd experts and phillips owners

Brian,

You can use either remote now but personally I prefer the DVD Remote. Hope you enjoy your Movies,

Andy

RE: VCD Playback and Macrovision Disable on Philips MX1060D

I Contacted Philips about the MP3 logo on the display and they simply said it is the display they use for several units and the feature is not avaliable on the DFR1600.

They also said that the Dts logo has no meaning either as it is transmitted through the Digital Audio out.
I had no sound when I played a DTS Disc!!

Andy,

RE: Request help from all dvd experts and phillips owners

Brian,
Although you are using Philips remote to enter the 12 digits (22222 etc), the Machine will not lock. The Hack you have been reading about that locks after 25 changes is different to the one you going to be using which does not use the One for All remote just the Philips remote.

By the Way, You will not have to re-enter the number every time you want to play a different regions disc.

Hope this has answered your Question and the hack is now working.

RE: Request help from all dvd experts and phillips owners

I used the Hack to make my 711 Multiregion.

When the line of ----- appears you do not re-enter the one for all code (0539 etc) but enter the code 222 222 005 255 using your Philips remote.

Although there are 11 spaces you still need to enter the 12 numbers.

Then Press Play and the words No disc appear.

Simply switch off and back on again.

This worked first time for me with no problems, hope this has been some help to you.

RE: Philips MX1060D Home Cinema - £199 at Comet!

I rang around to get mine and most stores had sold out.

Dont know where you are but Tamworth had some, Walsall have a display model left (I had the last one) and other stores only had 1 or 2 left.

RE: VCD Playback and Macrovision Disable on Philips MX1060D

Well I`m under the impression it can be changed as many times as you like but I don`t know for certain.

It looks like we will have to wait untill some one changes it 25 times and posts something on the forum!!

Hello,

Just brought the Philips System and the Mute button does not work for me either.
