Arthur`s only chance for survival: hitch a ride on a passing spacecraft. For the novice space traveler, the greatest adventure in the universe begins when the world ends. Arthur sets out on a journey in which he finds that nothing is as it seems: he learns that a towel is just the most useful thing in the universe, finds the meaning of life, and discovers that everything he needs to know can be found in one book: The Hitchhiker`s Guide to the Galaxy...

    Your Opinions and Comments

I simply refuse to believe the book, which this movie was based upon could be THAT idiotic and still recieve such great reviews. Having said that, I must admit that I never read the darn book to begin with.
This is one of the worst movies I`ve seen, and I don`t mean this year. I mean - EVER!
The plot is ridiculously stupid, the cast is awful and the movie goes nowhere.
The video transfer is good. There are no compression signs nor scratches and the colors are nicely saturated.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is very good. The surrounds are used throughout the movie and provide a rich sound envelope.
The menus are animated with sound.
The extras include 2 commentaries, a behind the scenes featurette and 5 deleted scenes.
Bottom line - skip this movie. It`s not even worth a rent. Read the book instead.
