Synopsis:
A heart-warming, life-affirming tear jerker about tolerance and respect. Set in Antwerp in the early 70`s, Chaja supports herself while attending university by taking a job as a nanny with Mr & Mrs Kalman. As a young, modern girl Chaja`s liberal attitudes soon clash with those of the orthodox Jewish family and their traditional values. However, as her love for the family`s five year old son develops, she learns to accept and respect a culture steeped in traditions, giving her many new perspectives on her own Jewish background and her troubled relationship with her holocaust surviving agents. But then shocking tragedy strains. And each person must learn a harsh lesson about the realities of life.
