An important heroic story, told in a rather interesting way with a great cast.
The Warsaw ghetto rebellion was and still is one of the greatest Jewish acts of pure heroism during WWII.
Being Jewish myself, a grandchild to Holocaust survivors and having met some of the people depicted in the movie (who were actually my neighbours), I was impressed and moved by the movie.
The video transfer is very good. There are no compression signs at all and the deliberate usage of desaturated colors helps convey the gloomy atmosphere of the ghetto.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is very good. The surrounds are quite active and add a lot of depth to the already gloomy environment.
The menus are still with some music.
The extras include 2 good commentaries by the director and most of the cast, a behind the scenes look and a great documentary with some surreal interviews with the ex-ghetto fighters.
Bottom line - an important movie, less in a theatrical way and more in a historical (almost documentary) way.
