Synopsis:
Sylvester Stallone goes Over The Top as an American arm-wrestling hero, in a heart-wrenching, fist-clenching movie, fuelled by triumph and tragedy. Tough, two-fisted truck driver Lincoln Hawk (Stallone) is a survivor: a man who holds his own against the biggest and brawniest arm-wrestlers in the country. But when his estranged wife (Susan Blakely) dies, leaving his 12-year-old son in the custody of his wealthy father-in-law (Robert Loggia), Hawk`s muscles are useless against a powerhouse of money and lawyers. Now, to prove he can be a responsible father, Hawk must build a new life that he can share with his son. His only chance is a long shot: the grand prize in a winner-take-all brawl on the bone-crushing battlefield of the World Arm Wrestling Championship.
