    Your Opinions and Comments

    7 / 10
I wont lie to you, this movie aint the greatest film ever but it is hard to criticise due its subject and stars. The movie is just good clean fun and if you see it as that without over analysing it, you will enjoy it. The gags are there with some hilarious scenes. There are some neat gadgets used by Jackie Chan. Top that off with Jennifer Love Hewitt as the lead female and yourself a good popcorn movie.

Chan is hired by secret agent Jason Isaacs, to be his chauffer as Chan is notorious for his quick driving. Whilst driving, they are attacked and Isaacs is hospitalised. Chan curious to know who the attackers were puts on a secret tuxedo that works on impulses and can make him do anything. Chan poses as Isaacs and works with agent Del Blaine(Hewitt) to find the bad guys.

There are some great action sequences but they arent really up to classic JC standard. The movie moves at a fairly good pace and is entertaining. Usually when you have a hot young actress paired with an older star, there is some sort of chemistry. Sadly in this movie, there was just nothing between the two, not even a volt of electricity. It is therefore worth saying that either Chan or Hewitt, One of them was miscast.

The video appears to be clear and clean. The colous are often vibrant and the picture is generally quite sharp. I think some of the dark scenes could have been a bit better detailed. The sound was pretty good although for an action movie such as this, there should have been more surround. The Region 1 dvd has a DTS soundtrack so that might be worth checking out if you have a DTS system.

Extras were pretty thin. I would have expected much more, especially when you look at the Rush Hour 2 disc. There was a short making of, some deleted/extended scenes and a trailer and your usual Jackie Chan outtakes. Im not saying that a movie like this warrants a 2 disc set or anything but they could have done more for this single disc.

A good popcorn movie that can be enjoyed by all if you take it lightheartedly. It is also a movie that can be seen many times so it might be worth a purchase. If not it is still worth seeing so rent it now on dvd and video!
