A man who may or may not be Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) is found floating in the Mediterranean Sea and is hauled onto a fishing boat. When the ship`s doctor examines the unconscious castaway, he discovers two bullet wounds and an implanted device that displays a Swiss bank account number. With nothing but this code, the amnesiac Bourne travels to Zurich and gains access to a safe-deposit box containing a gun, thousands of dollars in various currencies, and valid passports from numerous countries - each listing a different identity. Within minutes, Bourne is on the run from a seemingly ever-present agency, relying on language and fighting skills he didn`t even know he possessed!

Offering $20,000 for a ride to Paris, Bourne gains the reluctant help of the nomadic Marie (Franka Potente). Meanwhile, the shadowy organization, headed by a tough-talking bureaucrat (Chris Cooper), sends numerous assassins (including the Professor, played by Clive Owen) after Bourne and Marie. As their situation grows more perilous, the two strangers struggle to find out who Bourne really is and why they are being hunted...

A nice action-packed (yet somehow lacking) thriller about a man running for his life, running after his identity.
The script is rather decent, although several plot holes and ridiculous surveillance equipment occasionally interfere with the story`s flow.
The video transfer is very good. There are no compression signs and the picture is clear of any defects.
The DTS and DD 5.1 soundtrack are both very good. The surrounds are used throughout the movie and are quite violent.
The menus are animated with sound.
The extras include a commentary by the director, a behind the scenes look, 6 deleted scenes (including an alternate ending), a music video and some DVD-ROM features.
Bottom line - an OK thriller packed in a nice disc.

Thankfully, this disc was pretty cheap as it is probably the worst movie I have bought, but not the worst I have ever seen, no that is THE BONE COLLECTOR. Anyway, the premise is very good, it`s just the execution is less than ideal. Aside from some very nice set pieces, and a good start that promises much, it begins to fall apart near the end. The neding did just completely baffle me and left me saying, so what happened, and that doesn;t happen all that often. There is also one composite effect that is, and I`m not kidding is just laugh out loud. Honestly. The ending leaves alot to clear up for the sequels which I kind of hope will arrive because, it does promise a lot.

No complaints here people. this is a stunner of a picture. A nice 2.35.1 anamorphic transfer which cannot be faulted in the slightest.

No complaints here either, nice and clear, but I did have to turn the sound up a bit to hear it clearly. DTS as well if you desire.

Not had a chance to look at them all, but there are some deleted scenes which are OK, but were right to be cut, and an alternate ending which as usual was poorer than what was used, as it should be. The commentary is, how shall I say, laid back (zzzz) but there were some nice annecdotes scatterd throughout, but the fact bullets were used which can pass through clothes without leaving holes wasn`t picked up on! Some nice Total Axcess items though, with a good little game. The Moby video was a bit rubbish though.
