    Synopsis:
Pure theatrical horror from the maestro VINCENT PRICE in THEATRE OF BLOOD, a very dark thriller with a dramatic comic edge.

Edward Lionheart (Price) is a ham Shakespearian actor who believes that his great talent has not been recognised. Lionheart is disgusted to find that once again he has been overlooked by critics and denied a theatrical award. His rage boils over and he decides that it`s curtains for his critics and plans to exact revenge by killing his detractors in the manner of a famous Shakespearian deaths.

This darkly amusing tale of poetic justice is played out brilliantly by Price and DIANA RIGG who plays his long suffering daughter Edwina. And watch out for appearances by some British acting greats including DIANA DORS, ERIC SYKES, JACK HAWKINS, and ARTHUR LOWE.

Sound poor( Dolby 2.0 mon), sometimes hard to understand the dialogue.
Video is presented 1.66:1 I haven`t come across one in this format before I guess it must be an old style.
Trailer - chopped up very badly, the edges of the picture are cut off, I thought I had my TV or DVD set wrong, but no it`s just the trailer itself.
Film is still a good laugh and worth buying if it`s going cheap, don`t pay £12.99! Price is as fun to watch as ever; he hams it up a treat in this one!

THEY SHOULD DO THIS IN REAL LIFE, BUMPING OFF CRITICS IS A GREAT IDEA THEY ARE PEOPLE WHO LIKE TO INSULT OTHER PEOPLES WORK BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO CREATIVE ABILITY OF THEIR OWN! THE PUBLIC ARE ABLE TO DECIDE FOR THEMSELVES. LET`S START WITH JONATHON ROSS.
