    Synopsis:
An epic adventure and passionate romance unfold against the panorama of a frontier wilderness ravaged by war.

Academy Award winner Daniel Day-Lewis (Best Actor in 1989 for My Left Foot) stars as Hawkeye, rugged frontiersman and adopted son of the Mohicans, and Madeleine Stowe is Cora Munro, aristocratic daughter of a proud British Colonel. Their love, tested by fate, blazes amidst a brutal conflict between the British, the French and Native American allies that engulfs the majestic mountains and cathedral-like forests of Colonial America.

Based on the American literary classic by James Fenimore Cooper, The Last Of The Mohicans is "a spellbindingly beautiful old-fashioned epic." (Joel Siegel, Good Morning America)

A beautifully shot, yet ordinary and boring movie about the life in America during the Colonial period.
The video transfer is average. There are no visible compression signs, but the picture lacks detail and seems out of focus at times. The landscape shots are beautiful, but the dark scenes suffer from grain. Look for the worst CG water ever during the scene of the big falls.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is flat. While there is an occasional usage of the surrounds, the sound is not enveloping enough.
The menus are animated with sound.
The disk contains no extras whatsoever.
Bottom line - an ordinary epic-wannabe story and a very average disk.
