    Your Opinions and Comments

    8 / 10
To be honest, I was expecting a light comedy, but was surprised to (finally) find Bullock in a dramatic role.
This movie deals with the sad aspect of being an addict and going through rehab. While the topic is very serious indeed, the movie never gets too heavy or depressing.
The video transfer is good. There are no compression signs and the slightly de-saturated colors are quite adequate.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is ok. Most of the action (dialog, that is) comes from the center speaker, but the surrounds get to take part in the action, occasionally.
The menus are animated with sound.
The extras include a commentary, an isolated music track (whatever for?), a behind the scenes look, 3 deleted scenes, an episode from the soap opera within the movie, 2 guitar songs and instructions how to make a chain from gum wrappers (I tried, but I didn`t have enough wrappers). All in all, the extras are extensive and satisfying.
Bottom line - a good drama with a very solid (and surprising) performance by Bullock.
