    The violence-screen`s all-time rocker-shocker!

    Running Time: 110 mins

    Synopsis:
L.A. private eye Philip Marlowe takes on a blackmail case... and follows a trail peopled with murderers, pornographers, nightclub rogues, the spoiled rich and more.

But Raymond Chandler`s legendary gunshoe solves it in hard-boiled style - and style is what The Big Sleep is all about. In this familiar 1946 theatrical version, director Howard Hanks serves up snappy character encounters (particularly the reshot scenes of incendiary Bogart/Bacall chemistry) brisk pace & atmosphere galore.

    Another great Bogie/Bacall movie.

    Wonderful dialogue, camerawork, atmosphere.

    Masterpiece.

The picture quality is sorely lacking though, sound is OK.
