What a genius concept. Take Sarah Michelle Gellar. Take a healthy dose of vampires and other various nasty demon guys and have said Sarah Michelle Gellar kick their ass!

Finally, a buffy boxset has come to DVD. First impressions are that the case and packaging are pretty cool. The thick cardboard case opens up into a sort of crucifix shape that shows the three DVD discs in this set, and a full episode guide from season one. You also get a little booklet with information and trivia regarding each episode in the boxset.

The video print is what i`d call "ok". Not fantastic, but not awful either. But then again we`re dealing with basically TV stock film here, so no 16:9 or Dolby Digital soundtrack, just plain vanilla full frame and Dolby stereo.

Theres`s quite a few features thrown across the 3 discs though. There`s an interview with Joss Whedon (the series creator) and David Boreanaz (Angel), a commentary from Joss, a music video (Hepburn`s "I quit"), cast biographies and a still gallery.

If you`re a fan of the series then this is a must buy basically. Hopefully the next seasons aren`t too far behind, or a boxset of Angel series one.

Great Packaging which compensates for the lack of transfer quality from TV stock to digital. Unfortunatly no widescreen but the sound is reasonable.

Could have been more extra`s to compensate for the lack of quality but the overall package is A++. A real buy for slayer fans but a disapointment for DVD fans. I hope the second box set will be better other wise go for the video set, same quality and cheaper!!!(But No extras)

Hmm Buff-sty the Vampire Layer............oh no wait thats something else.

Content:- Buffy as per usual. Gore + humour + Buffy = Yummy!

Video:- Not widescreen, but then again it is only a TV program so it doesn matter so much. Quality is so-so, just like watching it on TV really. Good enough for me.

Audio:- Only stereo, but then again it is only a TV show so it doesnt really affect your enjoyment of the show. It was crisp and clear throughout so I was pleased.

Features:- A bit sparce for a box set like this, but they are there at least. They are all ok.

Overall:- The box really does kick ass quite alot. It is as good as watching it on the TV, so if you liked it there then you will have no problems here. I enjoyed it.

The one that started it all. Hi i`m Buffy
    The Boca Del Inferno
Great stuff. Season one was marvellous especially the climax. Truelly marvellous. Pic and sound were great for a TV show that was shot on video. Extras vere interesting. I love the hepburn vid.
