There are a few signs that Halloween is round the corner, one is the weather gets cold and the nights start to draw in earlier, but the main indicator is a splat of horror releases coming to the cinema and home.

Joining yesterday's announcement we have another for you, Alex Chandon directed Inbred turns up on both DVD and Blu-ray this 15th October, courtesy of Anchor Bay Entertainment.

Starring Jo Hartley, Seamus O'Neill, James Burrows, Nadine Rose Mulkerrin and Dominic Brunt, it also features Emily Booth.

Extras include a Director's Diary featurette, Making of Inbred featurette, Michael's Clips featurette containing clips from Michael Sanderson who owns Skipton Grange where the majority of the film was shot and worked on set construction and carpentry. Along with Neil’s Highlights making of featurette with interviews, and two deleted scenes.

Expect a recommended retail price of about £11.99 for the DVD and £14.99 for the Blu-ray.

    Synopsis and trailer follow...

Four young urban offenders and their care workers embark on a community service weekend in the strange, remote Yorkshire village of Mortlake, which prides on keeping itself to itself. Visiting the local pub, ‘The Dirty Hole’ which serves home-made (and suspiciously hairy) pork scratchings, they quickly realise they’ve made the wrong holiday choice.

A minor incident with some local inbred youths rapidly escalates into a blood-soaked, deliriously warped nightmare for all involved and it’s just a case of who will survive, and what will be left of them?
