THREE STRANGERS SWITH NOTHING TO LOSE, AND EVERYTHING TO FIND

Starring Academy Award winner Tim Robbins (The Shawshank Redemption, High Fidelity, Mystic River) and hot Hollywood star Rachel McAdams (The Time Traveller's Wife, State of Play, Wedding Crashers) The Lucky Ones is a highly entertaining feel good road movie in the tradition of Little Miss Sunshine and Sideways.

Set for DVD release on 17 August 2009, The Lucky Ones also stars Michael Peña (World Trade Center, Shooter, Crash) and is directed by the renowned Neil Burger (The Illusionist).  Both heart-breaking and side-splitting, this enthralling movie tells the story of three soldiers on leave.  Trying to make sense of their lives during an unexpected road trip across the United States, we are taken on a journey of self-discovery as the three main characters try to deal with the challenges of coming home.  A hugely enjoyable and humourous drama, The Lucky Ones also provides an intriguing snapshot of life in America today.

Synopsis
After suffering an injury during a routine patrol, hardened sergeant TK Poole is granted a one-month leave to visit his fiancé.  However, when an unexpected blackout cancels all flights out of New York, TK agrees to share a ride to Pittsburgh with two similarly stranded servicemen:  Cheever, an older family man who longs to return to his wife in St. Louis, and Colee, a naive private who's pinned her hopes on connecting with a dead fellow soldier's family.  Forced to grapple with old relationships, broken hopes and a country divided over the war, TK, Cheever and Colee discover that home is not quite what they remembered, and that the unlikely companionship they've found might be what matters the most.
