Synopsis:
Cecile (Virginie Ledoyen), fresh faced and free spirited, has arrived in Paris looking for adventure and excitement. In trouble after an attempted armed robbery goes wrong, Cecile meets hard-nosed and respectable Michel (Gerard Lanvin), a distinguished lawyer who enjoys the millionaire lifestyle that his success has afforded him. To the bemusement of his wife (Carole Bouquet) and colleagues he agrees to represent her in court, a decision that turns his life upside down.
After using his skills to get Cecile acquitted, the pair embark on a passionate affair. But rather than finding a new lease of life, he finds a jealous ex-boyfriend (Guillaume Canet) who refuses to give Cecile up and threatens to destroy Michel's career in the process. This is the story of two opposing worlds that collide. These two worlds don't move at the same pace, don't listen to the same music, don't sleep the same hours, don't share the same dreams, but share the same feelings in love.
