You've got to love NBC. They allow all manner of horrific gore, yet they blur out the bums on Botticelli's paintings xD

After three weeks of even more terrible than usual ratings, NBC have cancelled the show.

Bryan Fuller has always been very confident in the show's prospects, though, so I would amazed if somewhere like Amazon or Netflix didn't pick it up.

Not surprised. Too much time spent with it's head up it's own arse. I've tolerated rather than enjoyed it.

Actually think it might have got more interesting as Hannibal is out in the wild now.

After one episode, the Red Dragon arc is already a million times better than the first half of the season.

Thorin makes a pretty decent Dolarhyde, too :)

What a really poor finale. :(

SPOILER:
We are supposed to believe that three people would let Hannibal escape after all they've gone through to catch him? And that they would knowingly let innocent fellow officers die in the process?

Hannibal says that the killing of the Red Dragon was all he ever wanted for both of them? For ages he's been wanting Will to become a serial killer, but that isn't what he did at all.

The only bit I liked was Will jumping off that cliff with Hannibal in his arms. But the whole setup to it felt really rushed so when it happened I struggled to even care.

And Bedelia is eating her own leg? Or is that supposed to imply that somehow Hannibal survived that fall down a cliff after being shot and stabbed?

I agree completely. The plan to release Hannibal as bait was utterly preposterous even by this show's standards, but the part that really annoyed me was the scene with Will, Jack and Alana outright plotting to murder instead of apprehend Hannibal and Dolarhyde. Did they forget they work for the FBI?

I also hated how they once again reduced Chilton to nothing more than the butt of a particularly grisly joke in the previous episode. I was so looking forward to him taunting Hannibal from behind the cell window this season, since Raul Esparza was so well cast in that role.

As for Bedelia, I think it was deliberately ambiguous and there is no real correct answer. Either she chopped off her own leg as a peace offering to Hannibal only to realise too late that he wasn't coming for her at all, or Will and Hannibal were there but not shown. I prefer the former, but either way it was ridiculous and I don't care any more.

A silly end to a very uneven season :(

EDIT: I really liked Nina Arianda as Molly Graham, though. I think most of my disappointment stems from the fact that by completely diverging from the ending of the book, they robbed us of more of her.
