Missing Doctor Who episodes found

Allegedly! In Nigeria, so maybe it's just another email scam. :)

However, while US TV and movie website Ain’t It Cool seemed to believe the revelations – only quibbling the exact number of transmissions found – DrWho-Online proved a little more cagey, admitting it had received testimonies from several high-profile sources both confirming and debunking the news.

Its been circulating for months, Ian Levine did a 180 degree about face from his original nay-saying earlier this week, based on evidence he had seen, but sadly the latest news appears to put us back to square one.

Don`t know how the stupid rumour started in the first place, but there`s a number of people who should know better should be ashamed of themselves.

Only way to get those missing episodes back is with a TARDIS...

Or hope that some kindly aliens from stars between 35-50 light years away are telly addicts with mega sensitive aerials, and will pay us a visit in UFOs bearing videotapes...

Is there not legal disputes over money when a BBC doc who show is found, (mostly in Australia as quite a few people there had the first home tape records from the far east).

The BBC always stand firm that it belongs to them, but uts a catch 22 situation, as if they do not agree on a figure for the tape, they just do not get it.

Heres hoping this is genuine lost tapes, and the BBC agree quickly on ``purchasing`` them, depending on quality.

Now apparently found in Ethopia, though quite whether I trust the Mirror as a leading light in fact checking journalism...

But what if it's in the Radio Times?

The article from the RT refers to just 2 Troughton episodes (alas, from different stories so they won't make a lot of sense to watch), which will apparently be put on iTunes later this week.

But then it actually refers to the rumoured 90 or so episodes that are supposedly kicking around in Africa, and "a BBC statement said: “There are always rumours and speculation about Doctor Who missing episodes being discovered – however we cannot confirm any new finds.”"

So there you have it. I think this is actually correct, and all the Africa gossip is just false hope.
