Page 1 of Defiance on Syfi channel

This was supposed to be the next big US TV series-, but....

Watched the two hour pilot episoode last night, and it was such poor special effects, the initial attack on Earth was even poorer CGI than I could make in two minutes on photoshop`.

The aliens were even worse as it was only people in masks.

The storyline of a guy becoming the towns marshall in a desolate age, has been overdone for years.

The only saving grace was the CGI attacking army, but will the show get better , I think not, and will likely fail after the first season, like most new Si-fi series.

2nd week and its getting worse, by using some old star trek DS9 plots on cowardice in the battlefield, ugh !

yeah,  it`s too much of a slow burner, & they tend not to survive even to the end of the first season :(

shame, it could have been great, but it allready feels like its on its arse :(

Well, as with all the recent underdogs, I like it...

With the `easy on the brain` script for the third week, re: hellbug aliens attack SPOILER:
(did not take much to figure out who was controlling them)
I can see this finishing at the end of season 1, and then gone forever.

Bit better on the storyline this fourth week, actually had to think about the plot for a few seconds :D

Yep, cowboy stories in future Earth, we had the stage coming into town, all that`s missing is John Wayne.and the red indians. Ugh !

This is definately going to be finished at end of season one.

no it wont, already renewed. Considering the tie in to the game and the amount invested in the universe it would have been surprising if it was cancelled after 1 season.
