Yup, the Feds, apparently. Barely 5 hours later, he's also under investigation, and you know what they say about honour amongst thieves

Wonder who they'll vote for in his place? Kind of always feel the president of FIFA is a bit like the pope, when you get a modern forward thinking one they are still 20 years behind the rest of the world's viewpoints.

One African FIFA bod has already stated they'll vote for whoever Blatter tells them to. You can't think that he intends to do anything other than try to anoint his own replacement during the, possibly 10 month, run up to a rushed election.
I've no doubt Dobby is offering all kinds of suggestions as to how you leave power but keep your fist firmly grippped round the nuts of your replacement. Anyone remember the name of who that was in Russia? No, neither can I.

The fact that he's resigned is no use to anyone while the situation remains as it is and I think all the jubilation is way too premature. On which note am I alone in finding Greg Dyke an embarrasment. You may think what he's spouting but it serves no purpose at all other than to aggravate the already strained relationship between Europe and Africa/Asia.

Let's not forget that Greg Dyke took a 16k watch & refused to return it until threatened with legal action. And why the hell is it going to take 10 months for his replacement? He will be washing the books from now till then. Would it have taken 10 months if he dropped dead? Of course it wouldn't, so sooner rather than later.

FIFA is a corrupt organisation.

The FA is an incompetent organisation.

The word 'organisation' therefore being superflous.

Just don't think Greg Dyke has been good in the post at all.
Might as well have given it to George Galloway.

The guy that we can thank for it. No thanks to UEFA, FA, European police, etc.

I just hope that something really happens - Russia / Qatar losing world cup, FIFA rebuilt from ground up (or even gone) not some chipping away at a few token 'bad apples' over the next 10 years (sorry for mixed metaphors).

I don't think there's a cat in hells chance of taking the 2018 off Russia as it's too far down the line. The 2022 in quatar however is a lot more at risk particularly if the full Garcia report is now published.

It's practically been a life's work for Andrew Jennings. He's been chipping away it for about 20 years.

Maybe, but what if there was overwhelming evidence of corruption, it would be very difficult/uncomfortable for Russia to host especially if wide scale boycott. And my sources reveal (basically twitter) that the FBI are looking into this right now...

Edit: Some 'comprehensive' info from the sky news website

The FBI investigation into corruption at FIFA is looking into the awarding of the World Cup to Russia in 2018 and Qatar in 2022.
More follows...

I suspect that UEFA are extremely similar to FIFA.  It's all about the money.

Whereas the FA still have that feel of an old men's club behind the times.
