Liverpool vs Arsenal

RJS (undefined) posted this on Saturday, 20th December 2014, 10:41

I think both teams have had their worst starts to the season for years? Adding to this that these games are rarely uneventful boring affairs...

...anyone confident of any sort of prediction for Sunday?

I'm not. ;)

I think arsenal will run over them tbh, would go for a monster score, maybe 5-1....of course it could be the same score the other way if liverpool score early and arsenal pack up and leave :)

What mbilko said.
Won't be like last season where it was all over in 20 mins.

Nope. As already stated could be 5.1 to either side or a boring 0.0 draw as both are too s*** scared of losing.

The battle for fourth (which is equal to a cup ) will continue.

Okay I think one of two things will happen (so I'll probably be wrong!)...

1. Arsenal collapse within 20 minutes and end up 3-0 down at half time, and then finish the game 3-2 bemoaning their start... again.

or

2. Arsenal win 0-2 and a number of poor refereeing decisions are blamed for Liverpool's loss.

No clue who will win this, heads Arsenal, tails Liverpool..... heads it is.
Anyone know which side is favourite with the bookies? or are they undecided too

According to Paddy Power Liverpool 7/4 Arsenal 13/8

No mathematician but I think that makes Arsenal slight favourites but you wouldn't want to live on the difference.

Should have won that, not because we were the better side (though Liverpool didn't look that good either, so many squandered chances and an idiotic double yellow), but because we were one goal up and one man up.

Substitutes didn't make sense, at no point in that game did it look like we could see out a narrow win, yet he brings off Giroud for Coquelin?? And then expecting Joel Campbell to deliver for The Ox (not that Chamberlain was any good today). The only one that made sense really was Sanchez (also not having a good day) for Monreal with just 4 mins on the clock.

If Walcott wasn't fit, why have him on the bench? If he was fit, why not have him on instead of Campbell? Why not put Podolski on at all?

Ditto.  We kept Arsenal down to their lowest possession since Opta stats began.
Thought we were easily the better side (especially in the first half) but yet again we don't put the chances away and defend terribly.  Three chances to head away for the equaliser and lost all three headers.
That's 46 shots in the last two games and we've scored twice.  Arsenal shoot on target and score.  Says it all really.
