Quote:
The average price of the cheapest tickets across English football has risen at almost twice the rate of the cost of living since 2011.

BBC Sport's Price of Football study analysed how much fans are charged at 207 clubs.

The average price of the cheapest match-day ticket from the Premier League to League Two is now £21.49.

It has increased 13% since 2011, compared to a 6.8% rise in the cost of living.

  • Arsenal have the most expensive match-day ticket in the Premier League at £97. That's down £29 on last season but still more than double the most expensive match-day ticket at seven other top-flight clubs
  • The Gunners also have the most expensive season ticket in the top flight at £2,013, although it includes seven credits for cup competitions. Their cheapest season ticket is £1,014, which is more than 17 Premier League clubs charge for their most expensive one.

As long as there is a waiting list to get on the waiting list, somehow I can't see that changing.

Not just clubs, scottish football association been slated for their prices, especially then next 2 games, one of which is the friendly against england where the cheapest ticket is 55 quid, 45 quid is cheapest for the Eire game, scandalous really given the last home game there were 15000 empty seats, talk about pricing the working man out of the game :(

Being corrected by a number of AFC fans on Twitter to £126.00.

I'm even looking at cancelling Sky Sports as that's too bloody expensive these days.
Looks like MOTD and dodgy streams in the near future.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary

Or sticking your fingers in your ears and watching it on Arsenal Player the next day. Except the odd mid-week game that seems to not be on till Sat PM for some insane reason.

Trouble is by the time it get's to Arsenal Player there's no way I don't know the result, given my job it's an impossibility.
By that time I can't be ar*ed watching the whole thing and just settle for the 11 min highlights which always seem to have at least two mins of teams and BS before the action.
Maybe I might think of what I refer to as a 'dodgy box'
