The Official Celtic 2014/15 Season Thread

Well we have appointed a new manager, for a change not an old boy but a young, attack minded and intelligent coach from Norway named Ronny Deila who tbh I had never heard of, reading about him though I am excited, he specialises in attack minded football, rearing young players, he is thought of as the Scandinavian Klopp and studied his coaching as well as Rodgers at Liverpool and I am looking forward to how the team plays this season.

Seemingly we are in talks to sign Craig Gordon which if he recovers from his terrible injury problems could be a very shrewd signing as most think Forster might well be off after the world cup

John Collins named as his assistant manager, could be a very clever appointment I think....Koeman new manager at southampton and immediately linked with £8 million bid for Van Dyke our Center back....seems we have become a feeder club for bloody Southampton :(

Is Scottys hip the problem. IIRC he has had troubles with that for a while now and that it could be career ending . Hope he gets fit as I really like and rate him. Off the park he is a quiet laddie but on the park a no compromising player who is a great captain for Celtic.

BTW The Gers/Sevco 1690/The New Rangers/The New Gers/Rangers Of Glasgow don`t do walking away, well we did Woking away and they beat us 3-2

Its a hamstring so not the old injury thankfully, still not good, only saving grace is maybe a chance for McGregor who did fantastically well on his loan last season to stake a place.

PS No sticky this season :( :)

Well 1-0 win and god help me I nailed on McGregor not only getting a start but scoring the winner on his debut....:)....I was concerned about the formation I have to say, well actually no the players he played in the formation, for me Stokes and Griffiths are not wide center players but strikers and Commons is not a center forward but a wide attacking player so Griffiths and he should have been swapped around I think....we did look better when Boerrigter came on though as he is an old fashioned winger which suited the formation much more and Pukki looked a better fit up front...but a win and decent performace this early is not to be sneezed at

Very happy with the result and performance , really like the pressing game, and Pukki actually looked like a striker....Still think Boerrigter should be playing wide in that formation....Southampton made a derisory bid for Fraser Forster but expected to come back with a bid of around £8 million which would probably be accepted...I wonder if a £8 million plus Boruc back is feasible as I thought he still looked a top keeper for Southampton last year and cant see him being happy to be a sub again.

What an absolute nightmare that was, get off to a flyer with McGregor scoring after 7 minutes and lose goal immediately after, then another shocker defensively, then Ambrose (train wreck) gets sent off.....lose another 2 in second half and even down to 10 men were abysmal, add the fact they missed 2 penalties and we have the slimmest of slim chances...and frankly we dont deserve to have any chance, it could have been 7 or 8 - 1...we were that bad :(....

is "your" goalie any good? ;) i assume he'll be our new first choice, I always thought Boruc was good, he did a few silly things on occasion but was usually the defence that let him down :(
