Hmm, found out would imply something we didn't already know. Personally for me, drawing against them or not losing by 4 goals or more is progress. :)

And it has been a pretty regular tactic for years by opposition that if you can't play football against Arsenal, then you should be physical and go in hard. Combine that with the number of Arsenal players under his reign that have had their limbs broken by other teams, two, and then weigh that up against the number of limbs Arsenal players have broken, none, he's bound to be a bit sensitive to it.

Plus, it's easier to focus on that (and a not given penalty for handball) than not spending £40 on a world class striker. :)

I think you could reasonably make that three due to the amount of damage Diaby's ankle 'fracture' has caused and the amount of time he's been out.

Finally watched MotD 2, and from what I can tell their highlights gave the impression that Chelsea had way more of the play, and were way more dangerous. Which was in contrast to the highlights on the Arsenal player, and also according to my neighbour who saw it (and supports Palace for the record) and his friend who is a Chelsea fan.

Chambers should have been sent of for two yellows, Welbeck was lucky not to get a red, Cahill was not only a red but also one of those awful leg breaking challenges and I'm not surprised Wenger left his technical area to protest it.

The push was blown all out of proportion and clearly as much Mourinhio choosing to leave his area and get in the way, the Fabregas handball definitely should have been a penalty.

Good to see the pundits recognise the cynical fouling tactics. Hazard was amazing, Fabregas still has it, sadly.

Flamini started so well when he came back at the start of last season, but since then he seems to be going off the boil. We really need a young quality defensive midfielder.

I think Wanyama would have been an amazing signing for you, sure he would have improved more than he already has at Southampton.

From The London Evening Standard-

Arsenal can win the Premier League title if Wenger signs Sami Khedira in January, says Robert Pires

Former Arsenal midfielder Robert Pires believes Arsene Wenger can still lead the his side to the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners are nine points off the early pace after dropping points against Everton, Tottenham, Manchester City and Chelsea already this season.

But Pires, who won two Premier League titles during a six-year spell at Highbury, believes Wenger needs just one key ingredient to reignite a title charge this term.

'He Wenger needs a big player in the middle, like Viera, strong, tall, because this position is very important for the balance between attack and defence,' Pires told The Telegraph.

'The quality is there but you need more, maybe someone like Yaya Toure in middle. He reminds me of Patrick Vieira, maybe they have an opportunity with Khedira. It is likely in the January window. He played very well with Germany. My advice is if he can buy Khedira he can be the new Vieira, more aggression in the middle.

'He has a lot of experience. When you play in the middle you need experience, especially when your midfield is young like Arsenal's.'

The Frenchman's comments follow a protracted transfer saga which saw Khedira linked with a move to Emirates Stadium throughout the summer. The Real Madrid man eventually stayed put, but his Bernabeu deal expires next summer and the European champions are reportedly ready to cash in during the January window.

And Pires believes the Premier League crown is still possible if Wenger does secure an aggressive leader to complement the technically 'very good' midfielders already at the club.

The World Cup winner added: 'They have nine points difference with Chelsea but we can still win the league. It's very difficult but in football everything is possible.'

Having issues editing so posting an answer to my own post above.
Arsenal will never win another title until they can consistently beat teams like Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton etc etc.
I think they are looking like they can not achieve anything this season, except maybe a cup run. Being honest Arsenal are one of those teams that drive me crazy, 30-40 passses in their own half, without anything to show for all the possession drives me nuts & I end up yelling at the TV, & they are not even my team!

The precursor to that is sorting the constant injury problems. It doesn't matter a toss who we buy and how much they cost if they spend that much time either in the Physio room or even via the operating table.

Khedira? Yeh great, we could afford him but let's fill out the blanks further back as well.

I know I can be a pessimistic SOB but I wouldn't be surprised if the season after winning the FA Cup is the first when we finish outside the top four.

Awful refereeing there, but far too much lose passes in the final third. I remember the invincibles used to spend ages passing the ball around in a large semi-circle looking for the gap, and when they saw something and went for it, if it broke down they'd have it back and then be passing it around again.

Not sure what's changed, but these days they seem to try to go straight at them every time. So much of the second half giving the ball away there. :/

Still, a draw is better than a win, Sanchez played amazingly (as usual) and Joel Campbell made a huge difference when he came on, showed good vision and movement, as well as decision making. I'd like to see more of him!

Should have won that easily in the second half instead of giving the ball away.

Wouldn't have surprised me to lose with a full back playing centre back who's already on record as saying it 'feels strange'. Not to mention a full back making his first full appearance (even though he did fairly well).

As Wenger admitted at the AGM not buying a centre back was maybe a mistake. Who knew eh? Straight out of left field that one.
Let's hope Brian McDermott's brief is 'Find a CB and a DM for f***s sake'

At least we've got Chambers back for Anderlecht and there's no injury reports appearing after Walcott played for the under 21's the other night.

The next time we all fancy slagging off Arsene for not buying to strengthen the defence we'd best have a read of this first.
