The Official Arsenal 2014/15 Season Thread

I was going to leave this for a week or two but as one of the neighbours has kicked off.

Minimum achievements for next season?
Does it have to be a pot or would we be happy with say top 3 and semi's in Champions League.
Obviously I'll be back on here speculating potential bankruptcy and relegation when we still haven't got anyone in by late August. While Sagna's trying to work out what the Mancs are saying, Vermalen and Fabianski are deciding which country they'd like to be in next season and Arsene's doing his usual 'Ah Grasshopper' inscrutable act.

He does actually look a bit like David Carradine, I just hope he doesn't hang around in closets.

I think it has to realistically be top 2 and fighting for the top spot. We've had a long drought without a trophy whilst they paid for the stadium and promised we'd buy big once that was over, and we did that and now have a trophy.

So if come next season there is no progress (and fighting for the top spot for the full season rather than just over half of it is the minimum of what I'd consider progress) then I'm going to be upset!

Let's be fair we were fighting for (actually in) top spot for well over half way through the season.
Along with my minimum requirements is to actually stuff (alright just beat) some of the other top sides in the league. Particularly Chelski as Moanio really needs stuffing and mounting.
I can't find it in me to hate Pellegrini.

Let's see where we are after a summer of massive spending when we've got Ronaldo and Messi as a front two.

Wenger signed a new contract if you missed it.

Trailed that much that it almost went unremarked.
It'll be fascinating when he does eventually retire and write the autobiography to see if he was going to quit if we lost the final. I suspect not.
I think the three years will be it though.

...and in second place for player of the season is a Big F***ing German.

Personally I'd give it to Mertescielny. Inseperable.

We all know who will be number one, which shows how impressive he was despite being out for so long.
