Is This 'Free Data Forever' Device Too Good To Be True?

Lantern claims to be an anonymous portable library that constantly receives free data from space. That sounds crazy, but weirder things have come true.

reminds me of what I think was a google key note speech a few years ago, where they "saved" an African farmer's potato crop, as thanks to them, he cycled 50000miles to his "local" internet cafe, and found out about the disease or somehting his plants had using google.

It looks like it's essentially (literally?) cloud based storage, but would work more like a data Satnav.

I dont see why it wouldn't work, but the bulk of the people that would actually need it, probably couldn't afford it.
