not used it yet, will be interesting to see if still need to use firebug as well

it installs to a different directory to firefox so you can run both, it also uses a different profile

Stopped using Firebug a fair while ago, it just seems to be come too unstable over time. There are things I prefer about it over Chrome, and the built in devtools in Firefox are just not quite up to it.

Installed the dev edition earlier, it just seems like a reskinned FF with the dev tools more prominent. Could be useful for debugging in android, or iOS (but needs Linux/Mac for that)... I'd need to run it on a different box or in a VM that though annoyingly.

Had high hopes for this, so far unimpressed! Staying with Chrome for now.

wow, what a PITA. i spent ages working out why some javascript wouldn't work properly, eventually asked a colleague for help, firebug showed no errors. he uses firefox, and didn't like the new UI of firebug in firefox dev edition, so we fired up regular firefox, and firebug, bang showed me a missign bracket :( School boy error one, fixed that, bang showed up another problem, a missing function in one of my include files, so back to regular firefox for me now :(

Still using Firefox for everyday browsing and Chrome for development here.
