Interesting, on the radio earlier they ran a news "story" about how loads of people were having problems upgrading, as they didn't have enough disk space. There was no mention of itunes, apart from they mentioned how people had removed the u2 virus from their phones to free up space ;)

I guess
"People can't update iphones without deleting all theit selfies and music"
is a better "headline" than
"People should plug their iphone into a PC to update"
;)

well, all seems ok so far on my 4s.

couple of new apps added by default that you can't delete.

so far so good then :)

8.1.3 is out and it is supposed to reduce the amount of free space required for upgrades. So hopefully from now on I won't have to delete a load of apps to free 1.3GB of space just to install a 214k update.
