Sometimes whoever you registered your domain with is a good cheap option. You might also have some webspace with your ISP? Not sure if they still do that. :)

Website is hosted, and registered with YorHost. Looks like Virgin Media do still do webspace, so I guess I could in theory host the files there, then my domain name would point to that.

I went with awardspace in the end, their free package, the transfer to them from yorhost was painless from the awardspace end, yorhost still send me billing requests :(

contacted awardspace via their contact page when the new nameserver replication didn't seem to replicate, within 10 mins, i got an email from them saying they did it manually, and checked, and all fixed! nto bad for a free service :)
