Page 1 of [VIDEO] Eurovision 2014
Music Forum
This should probably be in the TV forum but what the hell!
Our entry is apparently third favourite, and it actually doesn't suck for once, nor does it have an ageing pop star nobody under the age of 30 has heard of trying to cash in on a past glory...
...so expect us to do badly again!
And Austria have an interesting James Bond sounding entry...

They were booed when it was announced they'd gone through. I think the real tells will be who gives them 12 points, if any. The Russians countries really take this really seriously, a recent example being last year with all that kerfuffle about Ajerbaijan's douze points.
Interesting point, this is the first UK entry in years where the performer has also written the song. Our last performer that had that accolade was Katrina

"Polish entry. Polish entry!!"
Calm down. Not quite the same as entering Poland.
I don't think anyone's even metioned Lebensraum.
Snaps
My new Flash Fiction blog. All my own work
500ish
I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary
Did the Playboy... er I mean Polish entry get through?

Most years I sigh at the thought of all the political voting, but with Russia it might be interesting this year.

actually, the reason we've done badly the last few years is because our acts have been monumentally atrocious. Englebert deserved last place, and Bonnie Tyler was only chosen because she's popular in Sweden. The recorded track was ok, but the second she opened her mouth to sing the song live I had to mute it.
Current faves are Sweden, which is pretty good, but so is Austria, which is sung by Conchita Wurst. Sadly, that's also pretty awesome, juust try not to stare at the beard
Dana International, anyone?
Sweden/Austria 5/2
Netherlands 3/1
UK 8/1
Armenia 9/1
Ukraine is at 11/1 with Russia aaaaall the way down there at 150/1
