sorry mate, but i think you'll have to perform the upgrade sooner
or later."

It wasn't working again last night so need to do the update.

It's actually installed on a small partition at the moment with a Windows 7 one taking up most of the rest and I've not loaded into Windows on it for years, but it is handy to have it there in the background.

Main problem is it all being plugged into the tv, it's not something I can whilst the missus has the s*** tv on, so that's why it's something I never get around to.  Will have to get a blast onto it though.

Assume it's all pretty easy in fairness (famous last words).

I was stumbled by a ludicrous thing.

Had got a 5m HDMI, brought in the smaller tv into the front room, had Homeland on the big tv, the Revo into the smaller tv, the laptop on for downloading and instructions and the football on the iPad.

The wireless keyboard dusted off and turned on.  Didn't work.  Tried new batteries still didn't work, so couldn't stop the Revo from booting direct into XBMC to do anything

Will have to bring a USB keyboard home and try again tonight maybe :s

did you try unplugging the little USB dongle that connects the keyboard / mouse then reboot?

Yeah tried that, but didn't work either

What I didn't think last night though, was should have plugged that into my laptop and seen if it worked on there at all. Doh.

Ste do you have a link to any guides on installing the lastest one.

I've finally got a day to try and get around to it and having big problems.

I have it downloaded and I am trying to make the bootable USB (used Lili USB creator) but it doesn't seem to be taking it.

Did you format everything before doing the install?

I have Windows 7 on aswell, but to be honest that is only ever there as a backup, so I could bin that off really.

Jesus, spent ages and then after I had posted that I remembered what had caused me so much trouble on the initial install a few years back.

The bloody USB dongle I was using it just wouldn't work for XBMC live.

looks like my revo has bitten the dust :(

just bought a WD Live TV from asda for £59. seems to everything
the revo does apart from the lovely library mode.

still, it'll do.
