Help - Virgin media to dvd recorder - sound but no picture
Recently bought an acoustic solutions dvd recorder with hard drive - connected it up to my virgin media digi box - thats when the problems started.
Can get sound(and record sound) but no picture from the digibox when recording onto the dvd
Can get sound and picture when dvd turned off
Dvd will record picture and sound from another source(another dvd player - connected in the exact same way as the digi box)
Any ideas?
Any help much appreciated.

It would be useful if you could post the make and model numbers of the equipments concerned and the type of connection you are using (e.g. SCART and RGB).

acoustic solutions DVD160RW300 and using scart leads to connect - output from digi box to input on dvd - then output from dvd to tv (tv only has 1 scart connection) - tried exactly the same connections with my old dvd recorder and everything works fine - dvd recorders scart settings are rgb or decoder - set to rgb - really cant work this out
thanks for any input

I`d try a different scart lead first.
Then try non-rgb out.
Has the Acoustic Solutions got an option to change the output? Maybe PAL/NSTC/other and not switched to PAL?
RE: Help - Virgin media to dvd recorder - sound but no picture
Tried a different scart lead - tried the other scart settings and have tried it on pal and multi settings - heres the weird thing - if I run the cable through my old dvd recorder and then hook the output from that to the input on the acoustic solutions then I get picture and sound from the digi box (as long as my old dvd recorders turned on) - really cant fathom why it will work when running through another dvd but not with a direct connection to the new one.
