"Obama gives some friendly advice about for far behind the rest of the EU the UK will be in terms of trade with the rest of the world if we leave,"

That would therefore be a queue of two, where the EU has to consult and agree with all its members...

That takes at least 2 years before we get within shouting distance

Article 50 – the only established legal way to leave the EU – is a major liability. Once triggered, there is no turning back, it excludes the UK from key decisions as well as the final vote and it leaves the EU in charge of the timetable during two years of negotiations, following which the UK could be presented with a ‘take it or leave it’ deal. Our results show that leaving without a preferential trading agreement would dent UK GDP significantly.

Not entirely sure which side that will gain/lose votes for.

Latest gumph off Cameron is that if we leave Europe we could be in for another war in Europe.

The 'Yes' team are really scraping the 'fear' barrel now.

The yes side are all saying that bad things will happen if we leave.

The no side are all saying that the world loves the UK so much they'll fall over themselves to give us all the advantages we have being in Europe, even if we aren't in Europe.

sadly most of the voters (our generation of the 40 somethings only know being in) personally i dont think it will make much of difference one way or another in repsect of trade, nato, or our world standing... all that will mean is we wont have to pay Brussels billions of pounds every year... so for what its worth I am out!

When you compare the calibre of person/institution saying we should stay compared to those saying we should leave, there is no contest.

One of the big names wanting us to leave is Putin. A weak Europe will suit him nicely. His pal Trump also agrees.

We'll also have a good couple of years of recession if we vote out because of the uncertainty it will create (until we negotiate all these 'sweet trade deals' that nobody can give any detail on).

Not sure how the UK leaving the EU will make Europe weaker...
