Nigel Farage, George Galloway, Michael Gove and Boris Johnson ....and this accretion of pillocks is supposed to convince me that Brexit is a good idea.

'Johnson declares support for exit' Does he?
If you read the fine print the fence he is supposed to have come off still seems to have a very large post wedged up his a**e.

My reading of it is that he's playing a very clever but risky game to end up as leader but with an even better deal for staying in than Cameron has achieved. Either by sailing so close to an exit that Brussels offers something extra or maybe even a second referendum as 'there has been a significant/fundamental change in the relationship'

I think he and the media have over estimated his influence anywhere other than in London and the south east.

I'm predicting a majority to stay in with possibly similar split as the Scots independence vote 55% to 45%
The worst possible result will be 51 to 49 either way as the sniping and bitching will continue in perpetuity.

I'm hoping for that! Whatever happens, the next few months are going to be even more unbearable when it comes to watching the news.

Cannot figure out all the fuss about the Mayor of London being an 'exiteer', he was like a damp squib in the Commons today, and sat back down quick enough with a lot of jeering, after giving a pitiful reason for exiting.

As said, he is trying for the Prime Ministership if he wins out, but its a big big gamble.

Anyway, do not think it will be a close call at all.
More like 70% wanting to stay in as they are happy with the EU as is (we are all happy are we not ), and 30% wanting out.

By jiminy I so want this to be the case. I want the decision to be so decisive and incontestable that the opposing faction has no choice but to shut the hell up and get back on with the jobs they're supposed to be doing.

We don't want THIS to be rattling on for another 6 months...

I hope its an overwhelming yes vote but doubt it, i think in my later years now i am becoming more and more pesimistic as I also doubt very much that Trump will just go away and even if he wins will be whitewashed in the actual election.....:(

Given that the Tories seem to be stabbing each other's backs almost as much as Labour now the following seems relevant.

Queen in favour of Brexit

Denied by the palace but...
Really? I mean how surprising.
Supposed political neutrality and all but you wouldn't expect her to have any other opinion would you?

On a slightly different subject.
I'm sure it says something about me that when I see a Beeb headline 'How will the Rock vote' I'm thinking Dwayne Johnson has said something about Trump/Clinton not which way Gibraltar's going in the referendum.

Anyone watch Jeremy Corbyns 'lets stay in the EU' speech.

Never seen a guy squirm so much making that speech, as though he was under pressure to do so, which he likely was, and did not believe a word he was saying.

If anyone is prepared to spend an hour or two on the whole question I'd recommend the Beeb's Them or Us.

It's not going to give you any facts about what will happen in or out, there aren't any but it will give you a good grounding in the history of it.
Hopefully that will inform people's decision but ultimately that's what the whole thing will come down to.
Which is why I think the vast majority made their mind up well before the whole thing even started.
