Page 1 of DAB radio

I've been getting increasingly narked at the quality of DAB radio given that it was only recently that the govt shelved the of switching to it. Reception has if anything got worse and it was pretty rough to begin with.

So a bit of interwebbing bought this article up which seems to make the situation a lot clearer than the signal.

Anyone else similarly hacked off?

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary

I got into DAB early on and was really impressed in the early days. I listen to the radio a lot, and have DAB in almost every room in the house.

But it has deteriorated terribly.

Yes, they need to switch to DAB+. I thought they were trialling this is Cornwall a few years back? Never heard any more about it.

Nothing ever seems to get done, and the farce about car radios has never really been addressed.

The bit rate issue doesn't affect me terribly as I mostly use it to get a better signal than AM (and anythings better than that) on 5Live and access to their 5Live extra.
I'm going to have to buy a new aerial for the Pure Highway as the signal is currently being edited by the spirit of Norman Collier.
The new Pure 300di for the car looks very inviting but not at 200 quid.

Who precisely does one moan at about the signal, Government, BBC?
Not entirely sure where the buck stops or even starts on this.

Still listen to FM here. When it comes to digital radio, there's always Freeview and Freesat, as well as streaming. We have one DAB radio, which sounded great when we bought it, but now I use the Internet streaming on that one too. DAB is going the way of Betamax here...

Believe it or not we cannot get digital radio in the village, also the building where my office is also seems to be in a black spot... so FM/MW it is!
