If you still have a device running iOS 6 or before, no more YouTube for you! Likewise for Google TV 2 and probably some old Blu-ray and DVD players.

Found this out a few months ago. Used the Youtube link on my Sony BluRay player a lot so I was pretty miffed to find out it would end soon. Ended up buying a Chromecast to do the same off my laptop or phone.

What a PITA! Last year, I managed to screw up the BIOS on my laptop, stopping it from booting. I figured out how to fix it by checking Youtube on my TV, searching for my latop brand and BIOS update failure. Saved me a whole lot of money and no little headache.

Youtube on my devices was a nice little lifesaver, and the source of much fun things to watch when the broadcast schedules invariably failed me. Star Trek fan films and the like.
