Anyone hear or see the leaders question time last night?

I managed to hear/see the whole thing for a change.
Cameron a lot clearer and up for it than I've heard him so far.

Milliband hit with the 'Treasury note' first question and then battered by a few more questions on the same subject and I don't think he ever fully recovered the initiative. One particularly good contribution from a business woman, something like
'If Ed Balls was in the corporate world he'd have been fired and you are putting him in charge again.'

Clegg hit much the same with the Tuition fees first question but he managed to recover a lot better than Milliband.

I think Ed's lost a few votes last night with the whole not compromising 'My' manifesto and 'My' policies line and appearing to rule out any coalition. Seemed very, all about me and screw the country.
The same as one very bitter Lib Dem telling Clegg 'I didn't vote for this'  (the coalition) and entirely missing the same point as Milliband that the country did.

As a scot I'm delighted the SNP is polling well here, looks like they'll win just about every seat and possibly holding the balance of power in Westminster. I've read a lot of hysteria lately about what happens if the SNP do well and was wondering what you guys think?

If the SNP have half the success predicted for them they will have achieved
de facto independence as regardless of whether anyone wants to share a room with them they'll still be able to walk through the lobby come voting time.

I had half an ear on the regional question time repeats for Sturgeon, Farage and Wood last night and thought it was interesting to hear Sturgeon getting a much harder time from her own people than on the debates south of the border.

I think people up here are wary of the agenda Sturgeon will push at Westminster. If it's just to hurt England then their popularity will plummet. Labour have to have an agreement with the snp for milliband to be PM and all his posturing on the issue can't disguise that, although I think the trident issue will be a real problem. I think at the end of the day labour are being punished for siding with the Tories during the independence referendum and the SNP are the only option up here. I read recently that 75% of Scottish people voted for independence but the others who live here put the kibosh on it. We will probably get independence in the next 10 years but I'm still not sure if it's a good thing or not.

I think she's the leader some of England wish they have the option to vote for. :)

The big problem with political parties over the years has been majorities and towing the party line. I doubt many of us agree with most of what any single party stands for, so a coalition of some sort is the best thing for us.

I'll chance a prediction then.

Next government will be another coalition between Con and Lib Dem but with a power shift. More Con and less Lib Dem.
Labour will be licking it's wounds after missing out narrowly probably mostly due to the SNP.
Farage's storm troopers will not do as well as they hoped but will trumpet it as an earth shattering change in British politics.
Greens will do a bit better and may double their number of seats all the way up to 2.
Plaid Cymru? I have no idea.

Here is mine...

Lab/Lib coalition with such a small majority it requires SNP support for any votes to get through.
