Page 1 of Winter Holiday Booked, Now who has been to these countries?

So got an amazing deal thru emirates for a flight from Glasgow to Singapore, will end up flying to Vietnam after that but got unbelievable stop overs, Dubai but not bothering with as done it before and wasn't fussed by Dubai tbh, then Dubai to the Maldives for 2 weeks, then Maldives to Sri Lanka for another 2 weeks , then ending in Singapore where I will stay for few days before either seeing which cheap flights are available or fly str8 to Saigon, anyone been to Maldives, Sri Lanka or Singapore who has any hints ant tips? I leave January so plenty of time to check out online, also pretty sure I need visa for Colombo, maybe Singapore but not sure about Sri Lanka

I work with some-one from Sri-Lanka, he's on holiday next week, but when he's back, I'll try to remember to ask him for soem hints and tips. From what I've seen there's some amazing scenary, temples, and elephant reserves. The elephants are different to Indian and African ones.

That sounds exactly what I'm looking for admar,  loved the history and temples etc in cambodia particularly so having half a clue as to where i should base myself would be a bonus :)

6. There is old srilankan capitals in Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa.
7. Sinharaja rain forest
8. Nilaweli beach
9. Pasikuda beach
10. Katharagama - temple for few religions

there was a programme on bbc ages ago about their elephants, if it mentioned number 1 looks really interesting
