How much is a real xmas tree?

RJS (undefined) posted this on Monday, 24th November 2014, 19:38

I want to get a real tree, stick it outside the house, and hack some LED lights and a cheap MP3 player so people can push a button and have the lights dance to the tune.

That's my aim anyway. :)

Still looking for the ideal set of lights to hack, but I need a tree and I've never bought a real one before. How much is a 6ft xmas tree? Anyone know?

Not sure why, but last year Ikea must of ordered too many, they were giving them away at one point.
Anyway, 6ft should be between £15-25 where I live, but on your "Island" your guess is as good as any. :-D

Our 7 footer last year cost 50 quid.
Price varies on type. The cheaper ones end up bald before christmas eve.
Personally I'd rather spend the money on something else but t'other arf wouldn't hear of it.

Hopefully about the same! Because the "island" I lived in before this (London) had inflated prices for lots of things.

Colombia Road sunday flower market, East London 6ft £20. My sister went there 2 days ago, that's what she paid.
Don't have a scooby what type of tree, probably the cheapest available. :-)
EDIT
it did have the rootball, was alive in a pot. Was told to water it with at least a bucket full of water before bringing it inside

A rare instance of London being cheaper than Liverpool.

Well, my sister LOVES to haggle, it's embarrassing tbh, I've even seen her trying to get a discount from a £10 Chinese takeaway :-)
