London visit

badboybez (Elite) posted this on Sunday, 19th October 2014, 13:08

This is one for the London possee.

Coming down to see the Poppies Installation at The Tower. Not got the bike at the moment so doing public transport. f*** me it's dear!

So I'm driving to say Watford and training it in from there.
Is there a train card or something..Oyster? That will cover me from Watford into town and back?

Only doing it once so don't need to join a scheme or anything.

Been a long time since I lived down there and things have changed lol

Watford is zone 7, so you need a Zone 1-7 Travelcard, which is £12.50 if you buy it off-peak (I think that's after 9:30am). If you got an Oyster card it would be slightly cheaper, but I'm not sure the 90p you save will be worth the hassle.

Sorry if that's a bit patronising. :)

Cheaper than ferry travel, we've spent £1k on ferries since March!!!

I feel like a foriegner on the rare occasions I go back down now, which means I fit right in.
When I left there was no congestion charge and Canary wharf was just about the only building open in Docklands.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary
