Anyone have an idea why I'm getting Hobby Lobby all over my Twitter and news feeds the last day or two.

Let me rephrase that. Anyone explain it it simple terms. I've tried reading an American press article on it and still don't get what the fuss is about.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary

It's the usual government brings in law, religious groups want exemption from that law because they feel it's their god given right to discriminate.

I'm not quite sure why they put it into Obama's healthcare bill in the first place, but they did.

Basically, employers have to pay for employee's contraception. Even my liberal ideals think that's going a bit far!

The crux of it is, the religious beliefs of the company's owners outweigh the personal rights of the company's employees. This is known as Corporate-Religious Exemption. Here's a whimsical article satirising the absurdity of it all

Naturally, as this IS America, this is horrifically skewed in favour of men, as Viagra IS covered by their medical insurance.

Also, the sheer hypocrisy coming from HL's camp is also stoking the fires...
