Some are as easy as three bolts that need undoing!

My son bought a fancy bolt on chromed end pipe for his Renault Cleo's exhaust to give it a bit of bling, cost him £20 off Ebay, and then swore his head off at work when he went out at night to the carpark and found it missing.

Fuming he drove home, wondering if it was one of his workmates was having a laugh, or some nasty criminal pinching it.

Got into the kitchen at home, banging the door shut, and was confronted by his mother holding the bolt on part, as it had been lying in the driveway all day, having fell off  

So much for his DIY skills
