edit: just realised this was mentioned at teh beginning of the thread with a few questions. I just dragged and dropped a few images using my regular amazon account which gives 5gb, I didn't see anything about type of image. I guess it wouldn't let me do movies done on my phone/camera, would have to pay for the "proper" cloud stroage for that.

That's my guess too, I've dropped my entire collection of DNGs onto it (I wish it had a proper background sync app like Dropbox/Google Drive/Skydrive) and still have the same free on my Amazon storage.

Also my Amazon TV gave me the option of a slideshow from them, though quite why I'd want that for unprocessed/un-edited raw files I don't know, be more useful if it offered my Flickr set. ;)

just been playing with the free storage and I could upload .mp4 filmed using my phone, and .mov filmed with camera. uploading is a bit of a pain, you can upload files, but can't just select a folder and upload that.

there is the cloud drive app, for ios, Android, windows and mac.

just had a quick play, looks like you can use it like DropBox, i.e. sync a selection of folders, or how I want to use, it like an FTP program to upload a certain folder etc.

How do you sync selected folders? I can only drag and drop them onto the app, would love to just have them sync in the background.

sorry, my mistake, I had literaly just installed it, and noticed when the app launched it chose some folders for me and asked if I wanted to upload them, I thought they were going to be treated like dropbox synced folders.
