Page 1 of iPad or laptop for the new chez westy....

Hello.

How do all on this dreadful november evening?

Moving into my new house on 19th, and was wondering about getting an ipad instead of a laptop? Pig sick of Windows machines needing constant babysitting and breaking.go, so was thinking oct indulging in apples lovely tablet :-)

Any thoughts??

Given your penchant for Android Westy, wouldn`t you be better looking at a Samsung, Sony or Motorola tablet?

Android is great on a mobile, but doesn`t do it for me in Tablet form. Used an ipad before and they are absolutely amazing!

However I need to convince myself that I can do without a laptop :-)

Depends what you want to use that device for mate.
If it`s just a bit of web surfing, writing the odd email etc. then it`s perfect.

I`m assuming you`d still have a desktop PC of some sort to go along with it?
If so, then I`d say go for it. If not, then I`d be steering towards the laptop.

I think you need to ask yourself how much typing you`ll be doing. Touchpads are awful for that I find. :/
