Sad news. 57 is no age to turn up one`s toes. Scary survival rate figures for pancreatic cancer thrown in with that report.

I hope this thread can avoid degenerating into the usual...

What a shame, really :( My ex bosses stateside run smith mountain lake resort where they filmed dirty dancing scenes and always had good stories about the crew generally and him in particular, seemed a really decent guy who was a rarity in hollywood, honest straightforward and family man. Also was in some of my fav movies and no doubt will be sorely missed :(

Although it`s no surprise, it is sad that he has gone. RIP Patrick.

I`m going to watch Ghost some time this week in his memory. That and Donnie Darko are my favourite movies that he appeared in.

:( Donnie darko, man forgot he was in that. sad indeed although as expressed not unexpected. His `big two` have always affected me deeply - never been able to watch the last ten minutes of Dirty Dancing without cringing uncontrolably i.e. `baby in a corner` and the dance to the camera, I like cheese but come on jees. Also never been able to watch the last ten minutes of Ghost without crying uncontrolably, cheesy I know but as stated i like cheese.
T.O.H. will be crying at work this morning.

And, until I read his obit on the Beeb, I`d forgotten about "Point Break"!
