Banksy unveils church abuse work

Street artist Banksy has installed a vandalised sculpture of a priest in a gallery in Liverpool.
Cardinal Sin is a bust with its face sawn off and replaced by blank tiles, designed as a response to the child abuse scandal in the Catholic church.

the effect of the tiles as a pixelated face works better in smaller photos, where it does look v good.

RE: Banksy at the Bristol Museum
I don`t know Banksy really, but I quite like the "cardinal sin" and if I was close enough, I`d definitely pop along just because I think its a shame to miss things like that when you get the chance to see them.
I`ve just found out Andy Warhol has a free exhibition at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill til February, so I think I`ll be popping along to that shortly...I don`t particularly like all of his stuff, but its probably the one and only chance I`ll get to see it up close, so I may as well take the opportunity to form a valid opinion :)
It`s probably the same Andy Warhol touring exhibition I went to about a year ago, 1/2 was at the Uni, 1/2 at local art gallery. It was ok, but most of the famous stuff was left behind in USA, was interesting though.

RE: Banksy at the Bristol Museum
I must admit to being a little bit underwhelmed by this. It's all a bit 6th form level, bleedin' obvious social commentary. I blame Thatcher.
The world can be dismal enough on a wet cold and dark November day getting up to go to work, when I would rather be in a cosy bed.
That's enough real 'dismal'anity for me. (Is that a word?)
