Father at 13 - Well, Mr Sun, where`s the moral outrage?

Pete-MK (Elite Donator) posted this on Friday, 13th February 2009, 18:05

Front page news for the currant bun. A headline that will shock any decent, hard-working family-centric citizens to the core. The details: some horny 12-year old that looks 8 shags his chavvy 14-year old girlfriend and knocks her up. She gets pregnant, they decide to have the kid, supported by their (no doubt) equally chavvy parents.

But hang on. Where`s the pitchforks? where`s the flaming torches? If the sexual ages had been reversed they`d be screaming for his blood. A `sleazy 15-year old lures his innocent prey into the bedroom` - you know the crap they normally spew out.

It seems that because the girl is the elder party, more pity and understanding should be meted out to the hormonal eventual spongers. The Sun seems to be unable to vilify the stupid young girl for her actions, and are even less keen to throw out the normal cries of PEDO SCUM. I think they`tre genuinely confused by the fact both are underage, so to compensate, they`ve simply rested the task of tutting and shaking our heads in despair squarely on our shoulders.

Baby-faced Alfie, who is 13 but looks more like eight

The shy lad, whose voice has not yet broken

Alfie, who is just 4ft tall

Maisie was conceived after Chantelle and Alfie — just 12 at the time — had a single night of unprotected sex. - I`m sorry, if you believe this line you`re just as dense as these two

They are living with Penny, Chantelle's jobless dad Steve, 43, and her five brothers in a rented council house in Eastbourne. The family live on benefits

Dennis, who has fathered nine kids

I could go on, but the disturbingly staged pictures on the article are making me lose the will to live...

I know it`s a cliche, but it`s the newborn child I feel sorry for. And to think many loving couples struggle to conceive, and yet these kids do it `first time`, eh?

It`s just disturbing, and I agree that it`s double standard by a f***ing crappy red top paper. You`re right, if the ages were the other way around (and the girl looked 8 years old), the boy would be locked up and vilified.

I agree it`s a double standard, and the picture of them both is bloody disturbing, but does it say anywhere what year(s) they`re in at school? If he`s one of the youngest in the class and turned 13 in July or August, and she`s turned 14 since September, then he could actually be in the same class as her (less creepy to me than them being in Y9 and Y7 at the time which is also possible) and that could be another reason why the Sun isn`t criticising the girl.

Edit: Nevermind, she`s 15. Consider me creeped out all over again. *Y10* and Y7 is possible now!

I had to drop the truck off for its MOT tonight, as I waited to be picked up, I spotted a copy of the paper in the waiting room. Someone had written `Pedo` on the girl`s head, `Moron` on the boy`s, and `Cursed` on the baby`s head.

I was a Sun reader for years but it was the whole Brand/Ross/Sachs/Satanic slut fiasco that was the final straw for me the hypocrisy of the paper at times is unbelievable, one minute they are dragging someone thru the dirt, next they run a story like this almost making the kids out to be victims. Im far more offended by the lack of condemnation of the parenting and the fact 2 children can bring a child into the world and we are supposed to feel sorry for them than anything the Sun tells me I should be offended by

Ive not read a paper for months now and I dont miss em, and Ive read some cracking books whick Im enjoying far more than scandal, celebrity goings on and `reports` of what former big brother contestants are doing this week

Realised a few weeks ago I hadnt read a paper for a very long time. That night we had someone come into work and the story that followed (reported in the national as well as local papers) was so far from the truth I was disgusted.

This person was accused of awful things when in reality what happened was heartbreaking act of loyalty and love.

Not one report contained the `facts` of what actually happened it was all total crap.......................scum the lot of them >:(

As for the `new parents`? Both of them should be charged with sex with a minor and sterilised and the baby given to a family who actually know having a child doesnt equate to "how much money can we get from the state"

Welcome aboard. I gave up the rags in the eighties.
Once you read articles on subjects you know about you realize what total cobblers it all is.
Not only made up in large part but they`re even too lazy to punch a query into Google to get even the most mundane fact correct.

As for Romeo and Juliet, a pox on both their houses.
Between the local authoritys assertion of significant support and the no doubt considerable fees for their story from one of the sh*t stirring papers they`ll be climbing above Jade Goody in the rich list in no time.

I gave up on the papers back in the 1980s as well, when the line between journalism and editorial evaporated, and most of the old Fleet Street started making up most of what they were writing.

No criticism intended, Snaps, I`m just wondering if and when Jade Goody will drop off the national sh*t-list given her medical condition.

There was an interesting discussion on that on This Week by none other than Vanessa Feltz (sp?), who is someone the media also appear not to like. As for Goody, I understand that she is probably Chave Celeb # 1, but I think it`s obvious to most now that she won`t be here in a while and that she`s now thinking of her kids. Best of luck to her I say, even though I`m not sure I agree with her stance on "I can`t tell my kids" when just about everyone in the UK knows through those bloody Celeb mags. I think I`d rather tell mine myself than risk some playground banter...
