i agree the best show on tv, but i thought season 4 was the best season along with season 3. Have just watched season 5 eps1, good if maybe slow start.

Haven`t started watching season 5 yet, but just saw this.
Worth getting just for the title music for each season, but looking at the track listings they have some soundclips from the series on it aswell. :D
I`ve actually only got the Blind Boys of Alabama version (season 1) of the title music at the moment.

F***ing Wire.
Got to get up at 5:45 and I`ve been doing a slow catch up, but after watching episode 4 I felt compelled to watch episode 5 tonight (I`ve got ep 6 but I can`t watch that tonight. :o
Slow start to the series but really picking up as the episodes carry on.
Although I must admit the story I`m least into is surprisingly
SPOILER:
Mcnulty and Lester with the serial killers.

That was my original intention, but I`ve gone through the first 5 this week, so it will probably drag out for the next month, as I`ve got episode 6 now, but then there`s a week until the next episode :(
Whilst your mentioning The Shield, I can only assume that they are waiting on the announcing the release date for season 7 by waiting on the other networks line ups following the writers strike and hoping to take advantage by bringing in more viewers?

Heads up for anyone waiting to watch them all in one go.
The last episode airs on the net on Sunday so is available from the beginning of next week.
I`m watching the penultimate episode now, slow start to the season but I really like where it`s gone.
The media angle that they`ve adopted this season doesn`t seem as fitting at first but as the season goes on it fits more in.
For anyone who hasn`t seen episode 8,.don`t read this but
SPOILER:
F***. can`t believe Omar`s dead, unfortunately I`d seen someone posting somewhere that he was dead so I knew it was happening as I was a week late watching this episode. :(

And for those that haven`t seen episode 9, don`t read this.
SPOILER:
Jesus, the finale was the most up and down piece of television I`ve ever seen.
The first 30/40mins was really happy/feel good moments
Lester and all grabbing Marlo and everyone.
Nehman with Bunny in the debate.
Bubbs in his meeting anniversary.
Then it went f***ing miserable as everything went downhill. Unhappy I`ve got to wait about a week for the final episode, as that`s left the series on a real downer at the moment.

For anyone who is bothering reading, don`t listen to me. I`ve just read that the final episode won`t be shown online a week early like all other episodes this season so it`s 9th March when it`s going to air.
It will be a 90minute special though :D

I`m skim reading, so I`m not tempted to highlight your spoilers, I`m still waiting for it all to end before I start :) I think I have 9 now
