Do i HAVE to have a mini dish to get Sky Digital service?
My local council refuse to let me put a mini dish on the roof of the block where i live, and this was the only place the sky technician bloke could get a signal from.
How can i get digital transmissions without the need for a mini dish?

You can get it through cable, if you have the means.

If you have a window (or balcony) facing roughly S/E you may be able to pop a dish by it without anyone noticing. You can get a signal through glass (again S/E facing) but you would need a 90 cm dish & luck. Why does the council object to a roof mount? I would ask planning about that one. Lastly Freeview springs to mind. What channels do you want?

"My local council refuse to.."
Is it their block, then? I don`t think they can refuse on planning grounds, since Mrs T. got an exemption for dishes to help her chum, the Dirty Digger (prop. Sky TV). Not that I`m biased, or anything... :-)
