but on sky one !!! Now we will get adverts !!!!! BBC to cheap to fork out ? Oh I know there spending all their (our) cash on rubbish like `Alfie Moon` , the beginning !!!
From Home cinema choice:

24` moves to Sky - including the new third series
Sky One has announced that it has acquired all UK broadcasting rights to one of the most innovative and successful drama series of recent years, 24 - with Series Three will be shown on Sky One exclusively in the UK from February.

Starring Kiefer Sutherland as CTU Agent Jack Bauer, 24 is unique in its portrayal of events in real time. Each episode covers 60 minutes, culminating in a 24-hour day over the course of a season. Series Three takes place three years after the events of the previous series, with President Palmer (Dennis Haysbert) seeking re-election for a second term. However, with the threat of a deadly and highly contagious virus being unleashed on the American public, he once again needs Jack`s help.

Thankfully Sky has also confirmed that Sky+ users will be able to set a series link to record the show to ensure a single episode is not missed!

Just as well I started to download the new series in November. It`s not as good as the first two IMO.

Sky will ruin this with adverts, just like everything else.

Expect the worst and you won`t be disappointed!

It would make more sense for them to run this on an unencrypted movie channel, as they did with Murder One a few years back, which would avoid the ad breaks.

I knew that Sky had acquired the rights, but have not seen adverts for it. Showing on a movie channel sounds a good idea although I doubt they`ll do that. I too have been downloading the episodes from the states and I think that the series so far is better than series 2, but not as goos as the first. Nothing is ever as good as the first series!

Also don`t forget the SKY ONE logo all the way through, NO THANKS.

`Auf Wiedersehen Pet` the first series was a slog, the last few have been far better.

There you go....at last each episode WILL last 60 mins instead of 45, due to the wonderful adverts. Personally I would prefer 45 mins!!

I`ll do what i have done with the other two series, watch the boxset and then flog it on ebay for more than i pay for it, makes it all worthwhile. ;)

I don`t think sky will show it on a channel without adverts due to the amount of revenue they can generate from selling advertising space but as i don`t have sky, it looks like i`ll be seeing it without adverts anyway, around the middle of august if past series are anything to go by....
